kids can be co-authors with me

Veo, Veo, I See You has just been published. I’m thrilled that this interactive book is engaging children. Do you know a kid who’d like to be a co-author with me? This short video tells you how they can!

“this [book] is a wonderful choice for expanding bilingual titles on offer” – SLJ

Latinx KidLit Book Festival

It’s great to once again be a part of this amazing virtual gathering of some of the best and brightest Latino voices of today. It’s my first time ever to be part of an Illustrator Draw-Off! So you don’t want to miss if I succeed or fail miserably at it. Either way, it’s a great way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. Live this Friday September 29 and en español.

Cool GREEn News

Just recently Cool Green: Amazing, Remarkable Trees and Verde fresco: Árboles asombrosos y extraordinarios were selected for the Skipping Stones Honors Award. I’m delighted.

“The author has found the strangest and most fascinating trees for us to reflect on…Both books present a delightful celebration of trees around the world.”
